Cordoba Medical Institute offers continuing and professional studies at our campus in Cordova, California. We are a nursing college and will help you to achieve your goal of becoming a certified nursing aide or a licensed vocational nurse. Cordoba Medical Institute offers 30-day, state-approved CNA certification.
Our classes for CNA are approved by the California Board of Vocational Nursing and Psychiatric Technicians (BVNPT).
Our CNA program will prepare you to become a certified nursing assistant (CNA) in the state of California. Our program covers the key areas, including the fundamentals of patient care, observing physical and/or mental changes, checking vitals, etc.

30 DAY NURSING ASSISTANT COURSE
WHAT IS A Nursing Assistant?
Nursing Assistants (NA’s), also known as nurses aides, orderlies, and home health aides, work under the supervision of a nurse and provide assistance to individuals with daily living tasks.
COURSE SCHEDULE AND DESCRIPTION
The 30 day program is 10 days of classes which are held: Monday – Friday : 8am – 4pm. Followed by working hands on at a Clinical Rotation site which are: Monday – Friday: 7:30am – 3:30pm
The training you receive at CMI includes, but is not limited to, bathing, feeding, dressing patients, observing physical and/or mental changes, and vitals. There are a total of 22 skills taught thru lecture, hands on training, and videos. Each skill is available online for you to review for the state exam.

Our Goal
The primary goal of Cordoba Medical Institute is to offer students programs that feature the necessary hands-on training to successfully work with other qualified healthcare professionals while simultaneously offering patients high-quality healthcare. We offer our courseware in skilled nursing facilities where students divide their time between classroom instruction and working at clinical rotation sites.
Our programs prepare students to sit for the California State Boards Exam, and upon successful completion of the examination, students become certified nursing assistants or licensed vocational nurses.

COURSE REQUIREMENTS
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- LiveScan Fingerprinting at 5706 Broadway, Sacramento, CA 95820
- COVID Vaccination
- 2 Forms of ID: one must be a government issued photo ID, as well as social security card (the names must be identical in order to enroll for the state exam)
- TB Test: On the skin or chest X-ray within the past 2 years
- Flu Vaccination
- Varicella
- MMR
- Hepatitis B
