30 DAY NURSING ASSISTANT COURSE
WHAT IS A Nursing Assistant?
Nursing Assistants (NA’s), also known as nurses aides, orderlies, and home health aides, work under the supervision of a nurse and provide assistance to individuals with daily living tasks.
COURSE SCHEDULE AND DESCRIPTION
The 30 day program is 10 days of classes which are held: Monday – Friday : 8am – 4pm. Followed by working hands on at a Clinical Rotation site which are: Monday – Friday: 7:30am – 3:30pm
The training you receive at CMI includes, but is not limited to, bathing, feeding, dressing patients, observing physical and/or mental changes, and vitals. There are a total of 22 skills taught thru lecture, hands on training, and videos. Each skill is available online for you to review for the state exam.
COURSE REQUIREMENTS
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- LiveScan Fingerprinting at 5706 Broadway, Sacramento, CA 95820
- COVID Vaccination
- 2 Forms of ID: one must be a government issued photo ID, as well as social security card (the names must be identical in order to enroll for the state exam)
- TB Test: On the skin or chest X-ray within the past 2 years
- Flu Vaccination
- Varicella
- MMR
- Hepatitis B
