WHAT IS A LVN?

A licensed vocational nurse (LVN), also known as a licensed practical nurse (LPN), or vocational nurse, is someone who works in a hospital to care for disabled, sick, or otherwise injured patients. An LVN usually works under the direct supervision of a registered nurse (RN), a medical doctor, or a mid-level practitioner to offer primary bedside care for patients

REQUIREMENTS

  • NO PRE-REQUISITE COURSES REQUIRED
  • APPLY WITH JUST A HIGHSCHOOL DIPLOMA OR GED
  • NCLEX / PN REVIEW IS INCLUDED IN THE PROGRAM

COURSE SCHEDULE

16 MONTH PROGRAM – START DATE IS SEPTEMBER 2022

  • CLASS HOURS: TUESDAY – FRIDAY: 8am – 1:30pm 
  • CLINICAL ROTATION HOURS: SATURDAY: 7:30am – 4:30pm (varies based on Clinical Rotation site)
  • THIS PROGRAM OFFERS ONLY IN PERSON CLASSES, SKILLS LAB AND CLINICAL ROTATION

1. Medical- Surgical Nursing 1 with Clinical

2. Psychology/ Mental Health Nursing

 

SEMESTER 4

1. Medical- Surgical Nursing 2 with Clinical

2. Introduction to Maternity and Pediatrics with Clinical
